The primary function of this position is to plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the activities of installation projects to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame, on/or under budget and to customer specifications. Position qualifies for full benefits package and variable incentive pay for margin performance. Employee can expect to be directly responsible for delivery of up to $5 Million per year in business and can expect to concurrently manage up to ten separate projects.
Responsibilities:
• Development of detailed project tasks lists with Director of Projects. • Secure and maintain project schedule lists and cost limits for purposes of scheduling field labor for customer site service. • Receive, manipulate, reconcile and maintain project schedules ensuring the accuracy of the documentation and work schedules • Issue PO’s (Purchase Orders) and WO’s (Work Orders) to certified installers. • Maintain and record detailed project site information that is provided by the field personnel. • Report to, verify and provide all required deliverables to the customer set forth by the customer on a daily basis. • Coordinate with customer for progress, changes, deliverables, etc on a daily basis. • Maintain departmental documentation and files on current installation projects on a daily basis. • Maintain telephone communications to project job site for the coordination of incoming products and field teams. • Negotiate third party project costs and fees on behalf of CNS, when needed. • Direct the field personnel selection process and administration. • Provide technical support to certified installers as needed. • Reconcile projects results against budget. • Seek PMP in off-hours if certification has not yet been attained.
Desired Skill:
• BICSI RCDD. • 5-10 years project management experience. • Previous experience in the voice/data communications industry is preferred. • Demonstrated ability with multi-level project management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Highly organized with attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure situations. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Access. • PMP a plus
Education Required:
· Associates degree (minimum) Bachelors (preferred) in Business/Engineering (preferred). Equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelors degree is acceptable.
