What is the difference between a traditional service and a managed service?
The net result on your network is the same. However, with a traditional service, Contingent completes a job and the Client pays for the completed work and with a managed service, Contingent manages a series of jobs over a predetermined time frame and charges a flat monthly fee.

Why did you switch from T1 MPLS to EverWorX?
Four years ago, we chose MPLS to provide quality of service for voice over IP and streaming video projects which were never adopted. As our contract was getting ready to expire we realized that without the need for QOS we could increase bandwidth and dramatically reduce cost by switching to an IPSec VPN on managed broadband.

How does Contingent's IPSec Network compare?
We anticipated slightly lower uptime with broadband compared to MPLS, which we deemed acceptable in light of the savings. However statistical data showed that we are actually getting slightly higher uptime with Contingent than with our previous carrier. So we've ended up with a more resilient network at a lower operational cost.
