MULTI-SITE RETAIL CLIENTS

Client: Major Restaurant Chain based in the Southeast

Overview: Contingent is currently providing network design, deployment and support for the Client’s in-store digital subscriber line service project. In over 300 locations throughout the Midwest and Southeast, Contingent has designed a dedicated network primarily for improving credit card transmission time ultimately leading to shorter lines in the restaurant. Contingent is qualifying, negotiating with, provisioning and installing services from almost a dozen different DSL providers. Additionally, Contingent is installing Cat5 cabling and network electronics in each location and will be managing the network on an ongoing basis. Network management services will include parts depot, SNMP monitoring of in-store electronics and field repair services.

Overview: Contingent is currently providing network design, deployment and support for the Client’s in-store Frame Relay service project. In over 160 store locations throughout the United States and Canada and headquarters, Contingent has designed a dedicated network primarily for an internal ERP and marketing network. Contingent is configuring and installing network electronics, Cat5 cabling in each location and will be managing the network on an ongoing basis. Network management services will include parts depot, SNMP monitoring of in-store electronics, help desk support and field repair services.

Client: Major Convenient and Gasoline Store Chain based in Midwest

Overview: Contingent provided deployment services for the Client’s in-store dedicated data service project. In over 500 locations throughout the Midwest, Contingent has configured software and settings on over 2000 cash registers and installed Cat5 cabling. Contingent won this project by providing a better class of service and higher quality at a lower price than its main competitor in the account and proved as much in an initial 15 store “bake-off”. Contingent was judged to be superior despite being introduced into the opportunity in the 11th hour of the project. Contingent was able to complete the work at a level above the client’s expectation at a lower price point than Client’s own dedicated field services team.

GLOBAL CONSULTING CLIENTS

Client: Market Leading US Automotive Value Added Reseller

Overview: Contingent has been providing the Client’s nationwide design and deployment services for their in-dealership 802.11b wireless project. Contingent is the Client’s exclusive provider of site surveys, needs analysis, point-to-point wireless network design and wireless devise deployment throughout their US automobile dealership customer base. Additionally, Contingent installs Cat5 cabling during the deployments and does approximately 40 survey/designs and 40 installations every month all across the United States.

Overview: Contingent worked with Client and its client to support the implementation of a nation wide network to support the retail market. The Client supported an aggressive deployment of broadband services points of presence (POP) in over 400 enclosed shopping malls throughout the US. Contingent is responsible for the Master Closet build outs and wide area network activation in the rollout of over 400 enclosed shopping malls and 7500 retail stores. Contingent also provides tenant activation for retail subscribers. Contingent also played a key role during the alpha stages of the project in evaluating network hardware, WAN vendors, service providers, and billing packages.

Overview: Contingent has coordinated with the general contractors to represent the Client during the demolition and construction of multi-floor new office build outs in Cleveland, Detroit, Troy, Columbus and Indianapolis offices. Contingent planned designed and installed voice and data networks from the service entrance of the building to the workstation outlet.

Overview: Contingent provides subcontracted services through the Client to the NASA Glen Research Center. As an example of flexibility in work environment, Contingent has installed a structured cabling solution in 500’ deep zero gravity drop towers at the Center. Outside plant solutions have been installed in the underground network of tunnels and conduit pathways of this 40-acre campus. All services are preformed under the strictest safety and security guidelines mandated in all government agencies.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER CLIENTS

Overview: Contingent provides MACWorXTM which is a service package geared at delivering a variety of individual and ala carte tasks including router installation, cabling, etc. directly to the Client’s end customer. The Client is a nationwide voice services rebiller, recently decided to enter the data services market by leveraging its existing voice customer database. The Client wanted to gain fast market share by competing on total cost (up-front and recurring). But, struggled with paying their carrier partners exorbitant set-up fees that they were forced to pass along to their end customers. The Client’s carrier partner is ultimately buying set-up services from the local telephone company who is, in some cases even, subcontracting to a third party with each player taking a healthy cut. The Client needed a way to bypass this expensive, slow and inefficient set-up process. Through Contingent, they bypassed the excess set-up cost and saves approximately $750-$1500 dollars per customer, a savings they can pass along to their customers that reduces overall cost of their service.

Overview: Contingent has designed and deployed in-building networks in medical office buildings for the Client’s “Smart-Building” pilot deployment. Contingent designed and installed a redundant fiber-optic network including multimode backbone and fiber electronics in select sites to provide tenants with broadband access to local hospital-based patient information. All networks were designed and installed to comply with HIPPA and serve to relieve the strain on tenants legacy access systems. The Client focused on providing state of the art telecommunications services to tenants of its 775 properties nationwide. Contingent serves as its technology advisor.

Overview: Contingent currently provides rapid-response field repair services for the Client throughout its 600 hotel sites throughout North America. The Client operates a broadband services network that supplies guests of the Four Seasons, Wyndham and Holiday Inn Hotels with high-speed Internet access. The Client has deployed a proprietary DSL/HPNA in-room delivery platform, has certified Contingent on the system and uses Contingent exclusively for field repair services. Contingent provides 2 hour, 4 hour and next business day response time for parts repair and replacement, cable repairs and equipment audit and evacuation.

MUNICIPAL, COUNTY GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC UTILITY CLIENTS

Client: Municipal Board of Public Utility based in Michigan

Overview: Contingent completed an outside plant project including broadband coax and single mode fiber with 3Com ATM network electronics and Phillips broadband network electronics. Contingent provided all electronics and installation labor to complete the initial backbone connectivity to approximately 25 buildings including make ready, strand, overlashing, burial and fusion splicing. This project also included a headend design and build for the broadband, inside plant horizontal category 5 for voice/video/data in all 25 buildings and city schools and extending the outside plant hybrid coax/fiber optic distribution system to additional buildings and residential neighborhoods. The system was designed and built to service 10,000 residence of the municipal Client.

LARGE & MEDIUM ENTERPRISE / INDUSTRIAL CLIENTS

Overview: Contingent was contracted to design, and install a network infrastructure to replace the existing methods of data communications in use in Client’s North American Plants. This included the removal of existing cabling. The new infrastructure is a Leviton and Mohawk certified network. Contingent is providing full-time Client Services staff and field technicians on site to fulfill a 12-month contract. In addition to the Ethernet Migration, Contingent also completes MAC work on a regular basis in the US facilities.

Overview: Client owns and operates 5 regional power companies in 6 states. Contingent has installed Category 5 structured cabling systems in 60+ buildings in 6 states over a 9-month period. The largest of the buildings in Columbus, Ohio has over 5000 category 5 cables installed. In addition, Contingent has provided all 3Com Token Ring and Ethernet network electronics to support the cabling infrastructure, and are currently involved in on-going cable plant maintenance for the Client.

Overview: Client provides electric and natural gas service to over 500,000 customers in a six thousand square mile area in Southwest/West Central Ohio. Client operates 26-customer service and substation facilities spread throughout its coverage area. Contingent provided the designs, material and installation services to give every Client employee access to the corporate network. Services included installation of structured cabling plant into every office and the configuration and installation of the network electronics.

Overview: Contingent has provided Client with LAN design and integration in its 13 US management facilities for over 7 years. Contingent works closely with Client to provide designs and services to allow Clients employees to effectively communicate internally and externally in a demanding environment. Contingent has helped Client capitalize on emerging wireless technologies needed for LAN communications and business-specific training.

SMALL ENTERPRISE CLIENTS

Client: Regional US Envelope Manufacturer

Overview: Contingent provided Client with design and deployment services for their Nextel Cellular repeater project. The Client switched cell phone providers to Nextel however due to the size and composition of their factory and headquarters was unable to receive reliable Nextel coverage inside their facility. Contingent provided a cost effective cellular repeater network that included an externally mounted antenna coupled with an internally installed amplifier and repeater cell array to significantly improve coverage.

Overview: The Client is a Tooling/Manufacturing company with three locations in the Midwest. Contingent provided the design and installation expertise to allow dedicated voice and data communication for all of its employees regardless of location. In addition to fiber optic and Category 5 cabling for the existing phone system and new data network, Contingent also deployed some very innovative solutions for inter-building connectivity. Contingent provides all maintenance; troubleshooting and MAC work in an on-going capacity.

Overview: Contingent is contracted to be the Technology advisor for the Client School District. Contingent has provided Project Management, Engineering and Installation services and provided networking hardware at many of their 21 existing buildings. Contingent has also designed infrastructure in two of the Client’s new school buildings and coordinated with the Architect and the General Contractor.
